THE SANGUINE POLITICS OF THE LONG ASLEEP
The super talented and shameless demagogues of this nation have also left no stone unturned to extract as much political advantage as they can from this issue. The Pulwama attack was, first of all, done by terrorists given refuge by Pakistani Government. This does not give us any reason to hate the Pakistani civilians because they are too at no fault. The fourth and fifth pillar of democracy-media and social media have further exalted the situation by writing aggressive posts against the Muslims and Pakistanis. If a Muslim doesn't join a candle march, they are ignorant towards the attack and hence, anti national. If a muslim joins a candle march, they are afraid that they will be attacked and hence, are doing it out of compulsion. It is these media people and social media users only who will, in some other post say it is time to become united as an Indian and fight back these acts of terror. Funny, right, this is the tribute vice pays to virtue. In 2018, More soldiers of India's defence forces have been killed by themselves than by an enemy. A total of 437 armed force personnel have committed suicide in the last four years against 237 killed during combat operations which include cross border firing and even aircraft crash.
Replying to a question in Rajya Sabha, the minister of state for defence Subhash Bhamre said the highest proportion of suicide falls in the Army. In last four years, 340 armymen, 18 personnel from the Navy and 79 defence personnel from the IAF have committed suicide. Number of suicides continues unabated in the armed forces despite successive government claiming to have taken several measures to reduce the stress level among soldiers. Did any of us ever know about this? If we really care about our country did anyone of us going outside for rallies, shouting slogans of 'PAKISTAN MURDABAD', raise this issue? The clear and shameful answer is no. This is because Indians have a greater rate of mobile phone possession than literacy rate. Social Media posts, youtube videos, fake and doctored accounts are enough to woo an average Indian into becoming a 'REAL PATRIOT'. If we want war, we should not forget that it would again lead to bloodshed and loss of soldiers from both sides which I as an Indian would not like, ever. The solution of Kashmir does not lie in guns but in diplomacy but who wants to solve it? Because if this issue is solved, a booming business of arms, politics, communalism would come to an end and directly affect the Netas of both the nation. 'Kashmir Hamara Hai' but did we ever ask Kashmir about it? Did we ever conduct the referendum that was promised by Nehru? Think about it.I AM ALSO HURT BY THIS HEINOUS ACT AND WANT REVENGE, BUT NOT A WAR. I MIGHT SOUND LIKE AN ADVOCATE OF THIS ACT TO A FEW STRONG HEADED PEOPLE BUT I HAVE WRITTEN THIS SO THAT MY FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS DON'T COMMIT SOMETHING OUT OF SHEER REVENGEFUL SPIRIT WHICH THREATENS THE UNITY OF THE COUNTRY. And yes, if you don't agree with me, please don't call me an anti national. After all views are meant to be conflicting!
